See what your clients feel but don’t say.
This specialized program trains therapists to decode the non-verbal language that shapes the therapeutic alliance — revealing emotional activation, resistance, and trauma responses that words alone cannot express.
In therapy, words often follow emotion — they rarely lead it. This advanced training teaches you to observe and decode non-verbal patterns that reveal what clients may not yet articulate. You’ll learn to recognize micro-shifts in posture, gaze, respiration, tone, and facial tension that signal resistance, trauma activation, or openness.
Grounded in trauma-informed and somatic psychotherapy frameworks, this course shows how the therapist’s presence and body language also shape the therapeutic field. You’ll explore how to use your own physiology and movement as tools for regulation, attunement, and empathic resonance.
Psychotherapists, trauma specialists, coaches, and integration facilitators.
Graduates receive the B.A.L.I. Specialist Certificate in Non-Verbal Therapeutic Communication.
